GPS Tracking - Protecting property, people and profit

Using GPS, GPRS, SMS and RF technology our range of Police approved trackers (ACPO CPI Secured by Design) will allow you to identify the position of your most valuable assets, family or employees. Small and reliable, our trackers can be hard-wired, battery powered, covert and quick to fit.

RedWeb offers a variety of different GPS tracking devices, in a range of forms: from tiny tracking units to ones disguised as everyday objects including belts, laptops, and satnav units. We also offer a range of methods with which to trace your GPS tracker.

Whichever option you choose, the basics for each tracker remain the same. Simply attach the device to the asset which you want to track, and then use one of the various tracking methods to keep up to date on its location, anywhere in the world.

RedWeb's GPS Tracker options allow you to keep tabs on your tracker by mobile phone or by computer, and to track individual or multiple devices. Using the latest mapping technologies from Microsoft and Google we provide you with a variety of maps to view your GPS tracker; choose from map view or satellite view or even hybrid mode. Opt for real time viewing, and get stats with tracking data.

What do the Police think about this technology?

''Having tested and used in the field a variety of GPS tracking systems, I can honestly say that RedWeb's trackers surpass our expectations and deliver each and every time accurate, reliable and fast time results. Their flexibility and rapidly developing technology make them a really competitive choice.''

Why Use?

There are eleven good reasons why you should consider using GPS Trackers:

  1. Lower Car Insurance - Save 10% on your car insurance by getting your car insurance through our insurance partner KGJ Insurance Services Ltd
  2. Corporate Manslaughter Act – make sure that you take your legal duty of care to employees seriously and keep a close track on their movements
  3. European Working Time Directive for Drivers – keep on the right side of the law by monitoring and maintaining records of your drivers’ time behind the wheel to make sure that they do not exceed the legal maximum and have the right number of breaks
  4. Protection of Lone Workers – actively monitor the driving habits of your employees to make their jobs safer and meet the demands of the 1974 Health and Safety Act
  5. Company Van Taxation – if your drivers have opted out of benefit in kind tax on company vans you need to keep accurate records of the vans use to demonstrate that it is not used for personal use.
  6. Fuel and running costs – you can reduce your premiums with many insurers if your vehicles are fitted with trackers. Route monitoring can also ensure that fuel usage and wear and tear on the vehicles are kept to a minimum.
  7. Protecting the Environment – sensible and logical journey planning and tracking will reduce the number of miles travelled by your fleet of vehicles and reduce your company’s carbon footprint
  8. Operational Efficiency – the ability to view the location of employees and the job they are working on provides employees with information required to best allocate jobs; reduce driving time; improve back office efficiency and invoice jobs faster.
  9. Better customer service – with the ability to ‘see’ the workforce in the field companies can direct them more efficiently and so improve customer service, customer retention and revenues.
  10. Business reports – you can cost jobs accurately, prove attendance, and develop efficiency comparisons from the use of tracker reports.
  11. Asset Security – tracking will ensure that you know where your vehicles, plant and people are at all times.

How it Works

Software

The online mapping software has been specially developed to work with our GPS trackers to ensure there are no communication issues. Also Police approved, the software is simple to use, clear and accurate. We utilise Google mapping technology including multi-directional birds eye photo imagery.

There's no need to call a remote centre to see your asset. With our ACPO accredited software you are in control. Log-on to your own secure site via the internet on a PC or iphone.

This is the UK's first complete system to receive ACP Secured by Design Accreditation. There are no software downloads, and no hidden charges – just log-on and track – LIVE!

Sims

All our GPS trackers are fitted with a pre-paid 'Managed Virtual Private Network' (MVPN) SIM to ensure the best level of service. This is not the ordinary service you buy in a shop. We can guarantee a network connection (even when there is no network coverage), provide a daily SIM health check, perform SIM fault diagnosis and management, all for no extra charge.

GPS/GPRS/SMS/RF

Our trackers utilise all current forms of GPS tracking technology, usually in one device.

A GPS tracking unit is a device that uses the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle, person, or other asset to which it is attached and to record the position of the asset at regular intervals.

The recorded location data can be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a central location database, or internet-connected computer using a cellular (GPRS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit. This allows the asset's location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real-time or when analysing the track later, using customised software.
