For private outdoor leisure pursuit or commercial business it is not possible to have access to a regular power supply for recharging purposes. Harsh outdoor weather requires a special device that can operate reliably in rainy or snowy conditions. RedWeb Technologies RX6 real time GPS tracking device can be used when external power is not always available, or when long stand-by time is required, such as on motorcycles, boats, caravans, containers etc. It is IP66 rated which means it is completely dust tight and rain proof.

RX6 real time GPS tracking can be configured to stay in sleep mode. When it is in sleep mode, it can operate for months or 2-3 years by using its own back-up battery. When the external power is connected or turned on, it will not only be back to on-line mode, but also charge its own back-up battery automatically.

RX6 can take a wide power supply range from 6~37 volts allowing it to be attached to all kinds of vehicles or equipment. A panic button provides emergency help requests for users or outputs can be setup to create an automated anti-theft function which when tripped or broken can send alerts to emergency services or even be used to disable an engine remotely.
