enigmaTag™ trial with Hertfordshire Police
Hertfordshire Police have partnered with RedWeb Security and asset-registering site MyThings to perform field-trials of enigmaTag™.
The trial is taking place among a thousand households in Watford, each of which has been issued with their own unique enigmaTag™ pack. Over the summer the performance of enigmaTag™ will be assessed, both in terms of its usefulness in providing instant identification of assets and its efficacy as a deterrent.
The enigmaTag™ pack
Each enigmaTag pack contains:
- 1 x 5ml bottle of unique enigmaTag™ identifier and application brush, enough to mark over a hundred items.
- 2 x enigmaTag™ 'Thieves beware' warning stickers for doors/windows
- 30 x enigmaTag™ asset marking labels
- A unique login code for registering assets on MyThings
Instructions for use:
- Read all safety warnings and instructions before using product.
- Apply in a well ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Shake bottle well for approximately 5 seconds.
- Identify the most appropriate area on your product(s) for marking. Ideally these should be obscure crevices or textured areas on the back or bottom of your product.
- Before applying enigmaTag™, please ensure surfaces are clean and dry to ensure proper bonding of the enigmaTag™ mark.
- Unscrew the cap with attached brush from the enigmaTag™ bottle and carefully apply by dabbing brush to the prescribed area. End result should be a small circular mark. If applying to multiple products at the same time, reinsert brush into bottle before each application.
- Immediately close container after application to keep enigmaTag™ from drying out. Once opened use within 6 months for best results.
- Allow enigmaTag™ mark to dry for approximately 30 minutes after application. Do not touch or wipe mark while drying.
- Apply enigmaTag™ identity warning labels to the product.

Once you've marked your items
Once you've applied the enigmaTag™ solution to your possessions please log in to your unique online portfolio at www.Mythings.com. Here you will be able make a record of all your marked goods. By doing this you will be able to keep track of your possessions and, should anything be stolen, you can quickly and easily register the theft with the Police. If any missing items are recovered by the Police they will be able to instantly identify who they belong to using the enigmaTag™ handheld device.
