In February 2009 an incident occurred within a Crewe town centre nightclub, resulting in the violent attack of two innocent nightclub goers and a subsequent attack on a member of the nightclub door staff.
Fortunately the door attendant in question, had been trained in the Safe use of RedWeb Security's OffenderID hand held deterrent Spray. The doormen deployed the canister in accordance with its strict guidelines for safe use and inline with ACPO Skills for Security training, available with the device.
The offender ran from the scene covered in RedWeb Offender Marker. He was later arrested by Police in Crewe town centre, covered in the red dye and was charged with the offence committed at the nightclub and later sentenced to 69 days in custody.
Cheshire Police were extremely supportive of Offender ID and its deployment in this case, as it provided them with Prima Facie evidence linking the criminal to the crime scene.
